Last April, the village of Mathare Kosovo in Kenya was severely affected by sudden floods, impacting more than 400 households and causing significant human and material losses.
In response to this disaster, OLVEA Foundation acted quickly in collaboration with our on-site teams by making a donation to support relief efforts. This donation enabled the relocation of 57 households, covering the first month’s rent for displaced families, and providing 50 mattresses and blankets to offer temporary shelter.
Our contribution also addressed urgent needs for improving the infrastructure of the school, which was partially demolished following a government directive to remove structures located less than 30 meters from the Nairobi rivers.
Through solidarity and collective efforts, we hope to contribute to a safer and more supportive future for everyone.
